Effective 10 September 2026
Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use the XIV Moonlink plugin, relay, website, or related beta services (“Moonlink”). By using Moonlink, you agree to them.
1. Beta service
Moonlink is experimental software under active development. Features may change, fail, lose compatibility, or be withdrawn. Access may be limited while safety, capacity, or abuse controls are improved.
2. Accounts and devices
You are responsible for activity performed through your linked account, protected device keys, venue roles, invitations, and recovery material. Do not share device keys or use another person’s account. Notify support@moonlink.dev if you believe access has been compromised.
3. Venue responsibilities
Venue owners and administrators choose who may join, which locally approved effects may be scheduled, and who may receive elevated roles. They must have permission to operate the venue and must not misrepresent ownership. Client-side housing detection assists onboarding but does not grant a right to control someone else’s venue.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use Moonlink to harass others, evade access controls, impersonate another person, disrupt the service, probe accounts or venues without permission, distribute malware, infringe rights, or violate applicable law. Do not attempt to bypass local effect allowlists or safety stops.
5. Third-party services
Moonlink may interoperate with Discord, Dalamud, Stagehand, FINAL FANTASY XIV, and other third-party software. Their terms and availability are separate. Moonlink is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Square Enix, Discord, Dalamud, or Stagehand.
6. Software license
The source code is offered under its repository license. These service terms do not replace that license or grant rights in third-party content, game assets, trademarks, or user-created material.
7. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated to protect users or infrastructure, respond to abuse or legal obligations, or end the beta. You may stop using Moonlink at any time and may request account deletion as described in the privacy notice.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Moonlink is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties. The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, lost data, lost profits, or interruption arising from the service. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
9. Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@moonlink.dev.
